Koepka, 33, has been in the news for quite some time now. Other than his epic golfing skills, the player has also made headlines for his staggering comments about PGA Tour pros and their alleged ‘slow play’. However, after suffering a major setback within his LIV team, “Smash GC”, the golfer is reportedly seeking help from the PGA Tour.
Source says Matt Wolff is no longer a member of Smash and that he’s looking for a new LIV Golf team. Vibes were off and they didn’t mesh. He’s also injured but hoping to return in few weeks.

For those who don’t know, Koepka’s LIV Golf team recently lost a valuable asset amidst several speculations. As per sources, Matthew Wolff has departed from the golfer’s wing of the breakaway league and is no longer part of Smash GC. Golf journalist Dan Rapaport reported that the golf star was seemingly looking for a new team to join as, for him, “vibes were off” at his former team.
Word on the street is that Brooks Koepka is actively recruiting someone from the PGA Tour to join Team Smash.
The hot name mentioned is 2019 US Open Champion Gary Woodland who is friends with A LOT of LIV golfers.
Only time will tell if there is any substance to the rumors.

However, there is no confirmation about Woodland’s involvement yet. But the news has definitely forced the fans to share their reactions on social media.

Here’s how some of them responded:
Old. Hasn't won in years. Will be forgotten once he joins LIV. You can have him.
— Paddy Daly (@PaddyDalyGolf) June 1, 2023
I don’t know if Woodland moves the needle enough. I have to think LIV has their sights set on someone else that would make another stir at news of them moving.

A washed 40 year-old without a top 8 finish in over a year would certainly fit the @livgolf_league profile.
He’d have a much better chance of winning over there that’s for sure.
— Matt Smith (@SamENole) June 1, 2023
While a lot of them doubted Woodland’s abilities to play good golf, others made comments about the golfer’s compatibility with Koepka and his other teammates.
So, what you are really saying is that the two of them really did cheat together at the Masters…
— John Ziegler (@Zigmanfreud) June 1, 2023
That would fit actually as he’s the player Brooks broke the rules for at Augusta

0% chance this is happening. Brooks recruiting or Woodland going.

It’s obvious Brooks is wanting to return to the PGA Tour. Losing out on the Ryder Cup must be tough on him.
