Sorenstam took the golf world by storm when she was active. She became one of the greatest LPGA stars. Her aura and game are so strong that golf has an award in her name. But the 10-time major championship winner is also a mother of two.

Sorenstam and her husband, Mike McGee, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Ava, in September 2009. Two years later, she welcomed her son, Will. They became her top priorities afterwards. Sorenstam is quick to show her affection for them, even online.

On her official Twitter account, Sorenstam uploaded lovely photos of her family, particularly those of Ava, and a heartfelt message in honor of Ava’s fourteenth birthday. She wrote: Happy birthday Ava girl!! We celebrate your funny, beautiful and caring soul. We wish you all the happiness in the world, keep living and never stop dreaming. Love you #proud #parent #daughter”

The love that Sorenstam has for her children is evident when you read her Twitter bio. However, Sorenstam once made an interesting revelation regarding her daughter.

Sorenstam made a sharp confession about her daughter

This year, 97-time professional winner Sorenstam returned to the US Senior Women’s Open earlier this year. She gave an interview before the tournament and talked about her feelings about being back on the course. With that, she also talked about her family being present to support her.

At one point, she also mentioned her daughter, Ava. She revealed the intention behind her daughter’s presence on the course. 52-year-golfer exclaimed,Ava, I think she’s getting into that tournament feel. She just thinks it’s a lot of fun, or maybe it’s because they want to miss school, I’m not really sure which one, but I’m going to go with the first one, that they want to see me play.”
