In a recent video, ‘the Scientist’ talked about playing at Ryder Cup. He mentioned that he has made a couple of appearances at the prestigious event and would love to play for his country, especially now that he is in such strong form in his game on the Saudi circuit. “Feel like I’m the top 10 player for sure right now, with the game that I’m playing,” he stated.

DeChambeau then added with his American patriotism, “If I do get picked, Fantastic. If I don’t, I’ll still be watching on TV and rooting for Team USA because I respect and appreciate those players that are on the team, representing our country more than a PGA Tour-LIV thing.” His support towards fellow American golfers is touching. Fans certainly believe that he deserves a spot on Team USA, for his game and patriotism if not for anything else.

DeChambeau’s improvement in play has become the talk of the town beyond the courses of LIV Golf. He credited most of his capabilities to his new equipment. Despite his modesty, his scientific analysis played a big role in his 60-average this season.

How DeChambeau put Tiger Woods’ lowest score to the test

At LIV Golf Greenbrier this past weekend, ‘the Scientist’ took a few practice swings during an early round with Phil Mickelson and left the 53-year-old golfer awestruck. He followed that incredible achievement with a career-best in the final round at West Virginia, scoring a low 58.

Even golf’s very own legend, Tiger Woods, made it to 59 back in the 90s and hasn’t made a lower score since. DeChambeau’s remarkable performance at LIV Golf quickly made him one of the sought-after golfers. After all, the achievement was on an 18-hole round and not on a comparison between the PGA Tour’s 72-par vs LIV Golf’s 54-par games.
