Despite the growing reputation of LIV Golf, certain accusations have been affecting the thriving lucrative Tour. The latest allegations were imposed by its Adelaide event’s Golf Club members, who claimed the Saudi-funded Tour left with ‘excessive’ damage on the golf course. Nonetheless, after being massively criticized, some of the Grange’s executive heads have finally shed light on the truth.

Though the LIV Golf’s event in Australia was considered a massive success, it was the aftermath that has been troubling the golf league. Nearly 77,000 visited the Grange Golf Club in three days during the event. With the private club hosting golf admirers in huge numbers, the odds of it affecting the golf course were imminent.

Two days ago, Adelaide-based news outlet ‘The Advertiser’ reported that some of the members of The Grange were upset with the Breakaway Tour and would not host the golf league next season. Nonetheless, the President and General Manager of the private golf club have finally spoken on the issue.

Did LIV Golf really affect The Grange Golf Club?

Following the Advertiser’s revelations, the Saudi-funded Tour was heavily criticized. However, Barry Linke, General Manager at LIV’s Adelaide venue, spoke to Australian Golf Digest and defended LIV Golf. “We are pleased with how the course has recovered following such a fantastic event”, said Linke while denying the allegations that the Grange will require six months to recover from the ‘excessive‘ damage caused by the lucrative Tour.

Moreover, Barry Linke also talked about how the East course, as well as the West course in the Grange, are back in action. “This is a credit to our ground staff, who have worked tirelessly”, said General Manager. Linke further talked about working together with LIV Golf for ‘minimal damage’ in future events. Following Barry’s comments, The Grange’s president Nicolle Rantanen also revealed how the club members were delighted during the LIV event.

He said, “From the perspective of the Grange Golf Club members and all golfers, the event provided the opportunity to see the world’s best in Australia. It was also fantastic for our state”. Rantanen also revealed that the members were given free tickets for the event, and also had their tee times scheduled in the morning. The President also shared some stats about how much were the club members satisfied with the LIV event.

After claiming to have provided the members with free tickets, Nicolle Rantanen also revealed a survey conducted. The study was done to understand the satisfaction levels of the members. Nonetheless, the majority of The Grange’s members sided with LIV Golf.

86 percent of members being satisfied or very satisfied with the event”, said Rantanen. Despite the earlier report revealing the anguished club members, the President and General Manager have now revealed that all is well at the Grange Golf Club.
