It was an unforgettable experience for the Hawaiian golfer that she will always cherish. And now that she has completely headed into a life of retirement, West gave an update to her fans about a new companion that is helping her stay active.

Last week marked almost a decade since Michelle Wie West’s only major won. In 2014 she was crowned the US Women’s Open Champion which brought her international fame. After a decade, West participated in the event as a retired professional player. Prior to the event she was given a grand tribute and it made her and her fans, both nostalgic.
But now with that part of her life behind, she is onto new things. West is a quick study who is after other exciting experiences in the new phase of her life that will help her stay fit.
Besides being a pro golfer, West is very active on social media as well. She constantly shares updates of her life with her fans on Instagram. And today West told her fans how she is keeping herself active after embracing retirement. In her latest Instagram story, West shared a video of her running on a treadmill. On a side note, she wrote “First retirement purchase, a treadmill so I don’t get too out of shape.” West is an athlete and understands the importance of staying fit and active. And since she won’t spend her days at the course, she has made a great purchase to make up for it.
What is next in the kitty for Wie West?
Although West hasn’t made any specific announcement on what will she do next, there are some things that are already keeping her occupied.

After embracing retirement, West is maintaining her links to the golf world through other ways. She hosts a golf podcast named Golf Mostly along with her friend Hally Leadbetter, where she discusses all things golf. The podcast even covered a special episode for the US Women’s Open and West’s appearance at Pebble Beach prior to the event. Other than that, West also actively takes her daughter Makenna to her golf practices. She is prepping her from a young age for a golf career.
She also brought her daughter to the US Women’s Open where Makenna made adorable interactions with the media. Besides, she also hosted the Mizuho Americas Open recently. With her decades of experience, West could easily summon the role of a good mentor to the younger generation of golfers.
