Tiger Woods withdrew from the Masters 2023 in April and went through subtalar fusion surgery to cure his post-traumatic arthritis after the 2021 accident in February. The injury, which got aggravated the more he played, needed urgent care and has caused him to stay off the course.
However, in the past month, we have seen Woods out and about on the course. He was practicing at The Hay, a 9-hole course at Pebble Beach, which indicated that he was better off than before. Now, NUCLR Golf has posted the biggest update to date. Woods hosts the Hero World Challenge every year, including the 2023 edition. But the revealed field of players suggests that there is one slot left empty. The assumption is that Tiger is going to fill that slot.

If Woods plays at the Albany, Bahamas, then he can improve his declining world rank. The latest reports highlight the poor rank Woods has acquired over his recovery break. He now stands at #1269, which is an all-time low in his 27-year-long career. Nonetheless, the veteran has kept himself busy despite the painful injury and is recovering faster than expected.
