In a recent podcast, 2015 PGA Champion Jason Day talked about Tiger Woods’ swing video. The legend just recently hosted the 2023 Nexus Cup at Liberty National in New Jersey alongside Rickie Fowler and Will Zalatoris to conduct a clinic exclusively for amateurs. Day, who was watching Fowler during the session, suddenly thought of a saved video of Woods on his phone!
During the podcast, Day was asked about the most recent video he watched of a swing, since he was such a big sports geek. Without missing a beat, Jason replied, “Well, I was actually watching the Tiger Woods clinic that was going on. I was pretty much watching Rickie Fowler, but the latest video that I have favorited in my phone right now is Tiger Woods from Sherwood Country Club.”
He further continued to praise the legend’s swing, even calling it a pristine work of art! “I don’t know what the tournament was or where it was, but I just love his right hand coming down pulling back. Oh my gosh, it’s literally like the Mona Lisa of golf swings,” he stated boldly.

Day would have undoubtedly been jealous of those learning from Woods himself at the Nexus Cup, a highly exclusive amateur event that the 15-time major champion hosted. The event showcased 18 foursomes and included a driving range clinic for those participating, and those on course witnessed the legend’s prowess and even received some brilliant advice from him!

Woods’ astonishing advice for the Nexus Cup spectators
While on the course, Woods was asked about the primary advice he’d offer to amateur golfers aiming to go pro. Meanwhile, a voice in the background humorously exclaimed, “Don’t watch F—king YouTube,” in the presence of the golf legend, to which he chuckled, perhaps in agreement!
When probed for another piece of advice, Woods emphasized practice. The questioner, seeking clarity on the same, asked whether he was just recommending pure practice or something else instead. “Go hit balls… Just beating balls!” he exclaimed.
