Michelle Wie West, LPGA’s golden girl, has had a thriving career in golf so far. She had five LPGA Tour wins and one major win in the year 2014. But owing to her injuries and the fact that she has a daughter now, the LPGA star announced her retirement from professional golf this year, which was indeed a life-altering decision. Wie West has arthritis in both her arms, and had to undergo surgery on her right hand after being diagnosed with a fracture and nerve entrapment.

So, Wie West concluded her golfing endeavors as a pro with the same major, which gave her the winner’s title in 2014 at Pinehurst, the U.S. Women’s Open. Thus, Pebble Beach was her last course as a professional golfer.

Now, that she has finally entered into relishing her retirement, this golfing diva sometimes shares glimpses of how her life looks post-retirement. She recently flashed a bit of her retirement life .

Michelle Wie West indulges in good food and good times post retirement

Recently, Michelle posted a story showing a glimpse of her retirement life on her Instagram. The story showed her preparing pizza in a furnace and indulging herself. She also tagged her husband Jonnie West, in the post and captioned it with, “Let’s go @lamorrapizzeria.”

Thus, Michelle seems to be enjoying her life post retirement, quite sumptuously.

Wie West’s last performance in the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open

Michelle Wie West’s performance in the 2023 US Women’s Open was pretty mediocre, failing to make the cut. In round one, she couldn’t bag a single birdie. Rather, she had plenty of bogeys with a double bogey on the 18th hole, making her score 79. Similarly in round two, her performance didn’t get better and she again had a double bogey, but in the 16th hole, making her score 79 again towards the end.

Thus, seemingly the tough course of Pebble Beach gave this golf pro quite a hard time. But, she will still be seen furthering women’s golf with initiatives such as the recent innovative Mizuho Americas Open, where she was a host.
