The Masters committee may have declared the claims against Elliot as baseless, but the golf community is yet to forget it. The incident involving Koepka’s caddie has set the ball rolling for countless memes. A recent video shared by @bogeybrosgolfing on Instagram shows a caddie signaling something to someone off the camera.

Fans have reacted to the video, coming up with their own unique assumptions.

One fan commented, “He’s ordering pimento cheese sammy’s. That’ll be $7.50.” The hilarious comment is in reference to the famous Augusta sandwiches.

Meanwhile, another fan thinks that the caddie is signalling for beverages. “He was just letting them know to have 5 buckets of beer ready at the turn. Duh.

Some fans are clearly done with the whole fiasco, with one commenting, “Maybe he’s just stretching his hand and that’s it lol.” “We used to be more discreet,” came another funny comment from a fan.

This signal was probably to TV crew and not another player or caddy,” informed another person in the comments.

Masters committee finds claims against Brooks Koepka’s caddie baseless

Elliot was allegedly saying “five” in the direction of golfer Gary Woodland’s caddie. It was right before Woodland took his second shot. If found true, this would have been a major breach of rules. However, the Masters Tournament Committee cleared Koepka’s caddie of the allegations, sharing that no violation of rules took place.

In case of breach, the caddie would have been found violating Rule 10-a, and the LIV golfer’s 65 would have been turned into a 67. It is because two strokes are the penalty for the breach of the rule in question. Koepka later went on to finish at T2 on the leaderboard, walking away with $1,584,000 in earnings.
