Tiger Woods‘s withdrawal from the 2023 Masters was not the first time when Woods had to withdraw from a game citing an injury. In fact, per Golf News Net, the number of his career withdrawals for Mr. T adds up to 12. Back in 2022, Woods had to remove himself from a PGA Tour event and the reason was unknown till a few days ago.

2015 PGA Championship winner Jason Day made a big revelation recently about Woods’ withdrawal from the 2022 PGA event. Golf diva Paige Spiranac too had a thing or two to add to the mix.

Not a while ago, Australian golfer, Jason Day revealed the unfortunate reason that five-time Masters winner Tiger Woods had to go through in 2022. Pointing out Woods’ exit from the 2022 PGA event, Day mentioned, “I was talking to him at the end of last year, and then he was saying the reason why he pulled out of the PGA was a screw went through the skin on Saturday or whatever it was.”

Spiranac, on the recent episode of her podcast, Playing A Round, discussed a recap of Masters wherein she mentioned Tiger Woods’ injury.

Spiranac had nothing but positive words for Woods and acclaimed him very highly. She called him the best player in the golf fraternity, “He is the best in the world because he is truly just built different because brain is just different.”

The ex-golfer went ahead and appreciated Woods for being resilient. She mentioned that even if she gets a blister from her heel; she questions her ability to finish the round of golf.

Spiranac then continued to cherish Woods as a golfer and said that he operates differently, “It just shows you Tiger’s mental ability to fight through any adversity and he’s just not human. And I think if any normal human being was put through half of what Tiger was put through, I don’t think any of us would have survived not only just the physical pain but the surgeries, the personal issues, the conflict. I mean, emotionally and physically.”

She also mentioned that one day she would like to analyze Woods’ brain to see how he actually operates because he is definitely built differently. “It would be fascinating to analyze it one day and see what’s going on up there because he just does not think the way that normal people think and he doesn’t feel pain or pressure and anything the same way that normal people feel it.”

Spiranac definitely knows who to appreciate and how. Recently, she partnered up with LA Golf and recreated a photograph of Jan Stephenson, the LPGA OG legend, as a tribute to her and her achievements in the sport. She recreated the iconic Jan Stephenson photograph and posted it on her Twitter handle.
