We all know the impact of Tiger Woods on the golfing world. However, Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, recently made a shocking revelation. Portnoy said that he is not a huge Tiger Woods fan, and he was not rooting for him at the Masters. Moreover, he also presented his views on Elon Musk making a bid to buy Twitter. 

Dave is well known for his unorthodox views. And recently, she surprised everyone with a very unpopular opinion. There aren’t many who would resonate with him.

Dave Portnoy reveals why he doesn’t root for Tiger Woods

“So I have never been a Tiger guy,” said Dave“I don’t know. I just never liked him. And I just thought he was kind of fraud.” However, he says it’s not for his golfing skills. “I don’t question his talent. He is one of the greatest golfers. But he was doing all goody two shoes in the image.”

“I don’t care. I am no goody two shoes just be who you are all the time and be consistent. So I am not talking about his play on the course he is one of the best of all time clearly,” said Dave Portnoy. Hence, this is the reason why Dave is not a Tiger guy and has never rooted for him. 

Furthermore, he talked about why he doesn’t understand the fans in golf. In golf, if you are rooting for everybody, you are rooting for nobody. And in sports, you are supposed to root for someone, but people in golf sit and cheer and clap for every good shot.

Additionally, he also talked about the recent news of Elon Musk getting into Twitter. Portnoy believes that Musk getting into Twitter is a great thing, and he loves his philosophy of “If I don’t like you, I will buy you.” Hence, given the way he works, Dave believes this is going to be great for Twitter as a social media platform.

Elon Musk has made an offer of about $43 billion to buy Twitter. So it will be interesting to see how things unfold from here on.
