Is Xander Schauffele's struggle with offseason commitments a sign of poor work-life balance in pro golf?

The PGA Tour’s final event of the season is just around the corner! The world’s top golfers are gearing up for a thrilling conclusion to the year, and we can’t wait to see who’ll come out on top. The players look forward to a well-deserved break after a long and grueling season. Or so you’d think. But Xander Schauffele’s plans for the offseason might surprise you. So what’s on his mind and why he’s dreading the break.

In a candid admission with The Smylie Show podcast, Xander Schauffele was questioned about his plans after the tournament. He said, “It feels weird to say this, but actually, I’m not looking forward to it,” and it has nothing to do with golf. Schauffele’s answer might raise some eyebrows but he’s not worried about his game or a relaxing vacation.

Instead, he’s got a different challenge in mind, that’s got him feeling a bit uneasy. The reason for the apprehension is a party. The 30-year-old said, “I got my brother’s bash party next week. It’s in Vegas. There’s a big group of guys. It’s gonna be a lot of fun.” And it seems Schauffele is more concerned about surviving the party than his golf game. He hinted that he’s both eager to let loose and anxious about the potential consequences.
