The final day fixture of the Solheim Cup has already been announced. Amidst a slew of high-profile matches, one that fans were eager to see was Danielle Kang battling it out with Charley Hull. The latter, despite having a poor show on the first day, bounced back with might yesterday. Now, a video of Kang’s prep reveals she was never ready to leave an inch in her preparation for the European counterpart.

The European Solheim Cup star has been suffering from a niggling neck injury even before the tournament started. The injury, apparently, has also affected her play. With the Solheim Cup being an intense tournament and the slopes of Finca Cortesin living up to their reputations, Kang, on the other hand, seems to take no chances of injury as a video of hers surfaces.

The six-time LPGA winner appeared all feisty at the hotel gym ahead of her singles clash. The LPGA followed Kang as she prepared for the final day of the prestigious Solheim Cup. As anyone familiar with her routine would have guessed, her day started with a hardcore workout.

First, she started with a boxing workout, landing a few strong blows on the punching bag. Two different variations of a side plank in quick succession soon followed. Next, her trainer was ready with ropes for her to do a cable oblique twist. Finally, she ended it with a split stance scoop throw with her gym trainer.

The four-time Solheim Cup veteran is known for her hard workout regimen. Last year, she enrolled in a UFC Performance Institute for physical strength and stamina near her Las Vegas home. However, she must not have wanted to exhaust herself before the big game.

So, most of her workouts on Sunday morning focus on the upper body, especially, the back, shoulders, and neck. It is quite evident that she doesn’t want the same fate as her opponent to befall her.

In the same clip, Kang is also seen writing the 12 team members’ names on her sneakers. Later, on her way to the course, she hugs her teammate, Megan Khang, before going on to hug her European opponent as well. It surely feels great to see that the ruthless demands of the Solheim Cup haven’t established a barrier to their friendship.

Amidst all the pressure of the final day, Kang was surely keeping her cool before going head-to-head with Charley Hull. That seems to have paid off in the final match as the one-time major winner has emerged victorious over her European opponent in the final day face-off.
