Nothing goes unanswered in the sports industry, even a simple comment. And that is why, after Max Homa commented on Danielle Kang, receiving a reply from her was apparent. After spreading giggles among Twitter users by showing his take on the infamous tee-throwing incident, Homa is now trending for calling out the LPGA Tour pro after his victory at the Farmers Open.

After a grueling final round, Homa won the Farmers Insurance Open with a 2-shot lead. While others tend to thank all their sponsors, family, and others for supporting their career during the winner’s interview, what the fun-loving PGA Tour pro did was challenge Kang.

Lisa Cornwell, a well-known former Golf Channel reporter, also brought everyone’s attention to his public challenge with her latest Twitter post. “Max Homa just gave @LPGA player Danielle Kang a shoutout in his winner’s interview. A few weeks ago, he was wearing an LPGA hoodie in a social media post.” Her tweet further read, “The guy gets it. That is #growingthegame.”

Has the LPGA Tour pro accepted the challenge from Max Homa?

Kang has won 6 championships on the LPGA Tour, including a major. On the other hand, Homa has not won any major yet whereas his latest win at the Farmers Open makes his PGA Tour win tally equal to Kang’s. Now the challenge is, will he win the major and defeat the LPGA Tour pro?

After he publicly called out to her, the 2017 Women’s PGA Championship winner took to social media to reply to him. She posted the PGA pro’s picture on her Instagram story and wrote, “unreal, all tied up! Let’s go Papa!” U.S. Women’s Amateur winner added sarcastically, “No major (yet) for Max, but I feel like he’s going to win one soon…cause he called this one like a boss.” She challenged him, “Alright…time to widen the gap here.”
