German golfer Alexander Knappe turned pro in 2011, following which he played on many tours like the Sunshine Tour, Challenge Tour, and Pro golf tour, where he acquired a total of 7 wins in his career. The DP Tour was his ultimate dream. He has realized this dream now, after participating in the Qatar Masters this week.

Although Knappe didn’t win the tournament, his phenomenal play and his T36 finish earned him the card for the 2024 season on the tour. Knappe was understandably full of emotions following this. During his interview, he cried tears of happiness.

Speaking to the interviewer he said, “I am speechless. It was such a fight. I told you I don’t wanna show any emotion. Number one I missed the shot putt. And I said to myself if I get 4-5 under I am pretty sure I can overtake John and I am safe. But I missed that putt and after that, it was a great struggle after that. None of breathing. I had a great caddie out there. It was a good round today.”
