Bryson DeChambeau’s moment of resurgence seems to be fleeting. The former US Open champion knocked off a T6 at the Masters and was a runner-up at the PGA Championship. More importantly, fans rallied behind him at Augusta and Valhalla. DeChambeau also displayed great showmanship.

The long birdie put on the 54th hole at the Masters, again at the 54th hole at Valhalla. To top it all, the LIV Golfer showed great sportsmanship despite losing the Wanamaker by one shot. Signing autographs for kids, throwing his hat to fans, and even offering his golf ball to kids, Bryson DeChambeau seemed to undo the past mistakes in a jiffy.

Naturally, everyone expected him to be pumped up for the next Major as well. But not the way DeChambeau is doing it. A newly posted video on his Instagram shows the LIV Golfer is motivating himself by imagining his reactions to possible scenarios on the greens. Which was later reshared by the Twitter handle NUCLRGOLF.

A fist pump after making a clutch birdie like the one on the 72nd hole at Valhalla, but on cable machine. Tipping his hat after the crowd cheers for him, with a stretching rope, of course. Gasping after a caddie mistake but with a dumbbell on both hands. That’s DeChambeau’s way of keeping himself fit, both physically and mentally.

Now, Bryson DeChambeau has forayed into the content world with massive success. His collaboration with established Golf influencer, Paige Spiranac has turned heads. Fans believe that the ‘content king’, of golf, could’ve done better.

Fans think Bryson DeChambeau proved LIV Golf is a ‘joke’

Just weeks ago, fans blasted LIV Golf for using Bryson DeChambeau’s popularity to further their goals. Greg Norman Jr. shared that DeChambeau’s presser on YouTube garnered more eyeballs than Schauffele, Scottie Scheffler and Justin Thomas combined. Fans thought it was a facile argument to make. This time, too, they think DeChambeau’s clip is symptomatic of why LIV has struggled to find a core fanbase.  Touching on LIV’s dwindling TV ratings, one user wrote, “And you wonder why no one takes that LIV loser league seriously…..good grief.” A second person concurred. “This is one of many reasons why LIV is a joke

Whereas, some on the Internet recognized his efforts but couldn’t stomach the content. “I like that Bryson is trying and I like that he wants to put on a show for the fans… but this is cringe worthy,” wrote one of them. Another user opined, “Just when he started to become relevant he does another cringy video …He needs to get rid of his bros who don’t say no when he has an idea …He needs to get rid of his bros who don’t say no when he has an idea..

One part of the netizens think nothing has changed for Bryson DeChambeau. In 2021, while defending his US Open title, DeChambeau was sharing the lead till the front nine on Sunday. A double and a quadruple bogey took him out of contention. Asked about the meltdown, the LIV Golfer shrugged away casually, “It’s frustrating in the moment when it’s happening, but afterwards for me now, I don’t really care as much. I’ve already won it.”

Some haven’t forgotten it yet. One of them tweeted, “And this is reason people think he is arrogant.”Another user wrote, “When I thought he couldn’t be any more unbearable.”

DeChambeau is enjoying a long break after the PGA Championship. The LIV Golfer will be back in action at Houston on June 7, before heading to Pinehurst No.2. If the 30-year-old fails to replicate the Valhalla magic, this might come back to haunt him.
