After a successful inaugural year, LIV Golf is only weeks away from kickstarting its second season. As the breakaway Tour seeks to become the new home of golf, the preparations for the upcoming season have begun. A hype video including the captains of all 12 teams was shared on Twitter, stirring excitement among golf fans.
The second season of the Saudi-backed Tour will begin on 24th February in Mayakoba, Mexico. As the 48 former golfers look to claim the victories and bag home the exorbitant prize money, fans have been eagerly waiting to watch the new golf league on their TV screens.
Unlike last year, the upcoming LIV Golf season can be watched on CW Network for free. As only a few weeks left for the top golfers to step on the field in El Camaleon Golf Club in two weeks, the detectors’ hype video has got the fans head over heels.

LIV Golf captains are too cool for the internet
In the 43-second video, all 12 captains are displayed sporting the merchandise of their respective teams. The video starts with the defending LIV Golf winner Dustin Johnson representing the Aces 04. He is followed by the two-time Major winner and Gleeks GC captain Martin Kaymer.

Later captains from the rest of the teams such as Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter, Bubba Watson, Cameron Smith, Louis Oosthuizen, Joaquin Niemann, and Brooks Koepka also are seen repping their team’s shirts. ‘Start it Up’ song by Campfire in the background only helps in inciting more adrenaline among the viewers.
Following the release of the video, Hyflyers GC’s captain Mickelson also tweeted his excitement. “Join me and the HYFlyers_GC team as we take it to another level this season”, tweeted the six-time Major winner. Along with Lefty, many other golf admirers too had their say on the hype video.
