For some people, retirement can be a blessing after all the hard work they’ve done for many decades. However, for certain people, it could be pretty hard to cope with. Nine-time PGA Tour winner, Sir Nick Faldo, recently shared his hardships after quitting the sport of golf in a recent conversation with legendary English cricketer, Kevin Pietersen.
While he may be one of the greatest Englishman to play the 18-hole sport, Faldo retired from professional golf in 2015. However, he had been an analyst for CBS Sports since 2006 and also has made frequent appearances on BBC Sports.
Nonetheless, hiscareer as a commentator also was drawn to its end last year after he decided to retire for good. Since quitting both careers as a golfer and as a commentator may have been hard for the former world number one, the MBE recently shared his thoughts about retirement.

Former PGA Tour star gets honest about retirement
Following the end of his television career, the 65-year-old Englishman has found time to make quality content on his YouTube Channel. In his most recent video, he conducted an interview with fellow countrymen, Kevin Pietersen. Though a former cricketer, Pietersen is known to be an avid golfer himself.
However, during their fun-filled golf interview, the two retired sportsmen began discussing the truth of retirement. “I found life quite difficult for a while”, said Sir Nick Faldo while talking about his initial days after retirement. He then reasoned it by saying, “In golf, every shot has a had an intention, had a result, had a reaction”.

The 6-time Major winner then added how he had no objective in life after quitting professional golf. “There’s no goals each day you know”, said, Faldo. He ended by saying, “When you lose that, I found that quite tough”, while referring to his illustrious four-decade-long golf career. While the Hall of Famer may have revealed his hardships in quitting professional golf, Kevin Pietersen referred to his retirement as the ‘biggest stress relief’.
Nonetheless, Sir Nick Faldo always has been considered one of the greatest golfers of all time. His remarkable composure while being under pressure won him his three Masters’ Green Jackets along with three Open Championships. Despite retiring from competing in golf as well as commentating, Faldo still misses the sport just like the fans miss him.
