29-year-old Bryson DeChambeau is a busy person. He joined the new LIV Golf Invitational Series, which had only eight events in the last season, earlier this year and hence, should have more free time on his hand. However, brainstorming and creating new content for his YouTuber channel has been keeping him busy now. While many become social media influencers or YouTubers to generate income, the golfer had other intentions behind opening a YouTube channel.

DeChambeau reportedly received more than $125 million from the sponsors of the golf league that he joined earlier this year. As a multi-millionaire, the American golfer doesn’t necessarily need to be active on social media so he can generate some income.

Yet, he does it. He creates videos projecting his personal and professional life, which according to him, is a way to help the younger generation in many ways.

Nobody identifies Bryson DeChambeau as a professional golfer now, and he is not complaining

Recently, the LIV Golf defector appeared as a guest on the ‘Golf, Mostly’ podcast. Notably, LPGA Tour veteran, Michelle Wie West and content creator, Hally Leadbetter, host the program. And DeChambeau detailed why he joined LIV Golf and what makes him prioritize content creation over anything now in the podcast.

“I wanted to do something cool with the game of golf,” he said in the podcast. “And that’s to entertain, educate, and inspire younger generation.”

Bryson DeChambeau has played 140 tournaments and won nine titles, including the 2020 US Open. He is considered one of the longest hitters among the new generation of golfers. In fact, the longest drive he had ever hit was a monstrous 480-yard drive at The Match in 2021

Yet, people now don’t identify him as a golfer but as a YouTuber. “Every time I go out to the golf course now, every single person was talking about my YouTube channel,” DeChambeau told the podcast hosts with a proud smile. “Not even about like, ‘Oh my gosh, play well…” he added.
