In a recent interview, the Olympic gold medalist expressed that since her sister Jessica Korda joined the LPGA in 2011 the growth of the LPGA Tour has been exceptional. “Seeing the growth just from the time my sister has been on tour to 2023, honestly is crazy to me.”
Moreover, she explained that the progress of women’s golf should be viewed as a marathon that will take a long time to complete but is progressing nevertheless. “I think the motto that I think — it’s not a sprint; it’s a marathon, and when you can continue growing the sport little by little, even when it comes to inspiring a new generation or obviously our purse increases, that’s a plus.”
Furthermore, Nelly believes the talent of the organization will attract more and more people to the sport. “I think that what we are doing with the product that the LPGA has, and the amount of people that are interested in the sport, is continuously growing.”
