Friendships are bound to develop in almost every line of work. Athletes, competing alongside the same people for years often brings them closer together. Justin Thomas, known for his fun-loving nature, has made many friends since turning pro. One of them being his fellow President Cup teammate, Max Homa. The two often share hilarious banter, and recently Thomas did so again.

Both Americans are competing in the first PGA Tour event of the year, the Sentry Tournament of Champions. The event saw its second round finish on Friday this week.

Homa tweeted a picture of the text they had received. He wrote, “Sometimes things just kind of work out.” The 5-time PGA Tour winner added, “I can’t wait to play with one of my favorite people tomorrow!” “I hope he has a great day caddying for @JustinThomas34 #Bones.”

Hilariously, the golf pro suggested that he was not talking about Thomas, but his caddy Jim “Bones” Mackay instead. But JT was no amateur when it came to banter. Replying to Homa, she wrote, “I couldn’t sleep a wink last night,” humbly shutting him down and depicting his excitement at playing alongside Homa.

JT and Homa finished the second round of the Sentry T.O.C. tied for 27th place with four other competitors. Despite being 6 under par, the pair seemed to trail far behind the scoreboard leader, Collin Morikawa, who ended the round at 16 under par.

With two rounds to go, the pair has a chance to catch up, but it won’t be an easy task. JT currently ranks 8th as per the OWGR, while Homa ranks 17th. Despite their skill, they are facing off against 15 others in the top 20. Hence, no mistake on the course will go unpunished.
