Lilia Vu has been raking the headlines as well as the fields as the LPGA Tour’s leading moneymaker this season. The player has secured four wins this year, including her first LPGA Tour win and two majors. After winning the ANNIKA event in Florida last weekend, the golfer is now headed to the $7 million stop.
Prior to the Tour’s last full-field event, the CME Group Tour Championship, Vu made an honest outcry. While answering a question, the player remarked on the rookie LPGA Tour players and spoke to her mind’s rest.

Lilia Vu has now surpassed Ruoning Yin as the current world’s No. 1 golfer. The player’s win at the ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge has added to her world ranking, and not just that, being a qualifier, her CME chart points have also increased, and now she sits in the second spot on the Race to CME Globe Season scoreboard.
At a press conference before her play this weekend, the golfer sat for a Q&A session with the media, answering questions related to her performance, her last win, and her upcoming feat. A question directed at the player asked her how many players she thinks have the talent between the Epson and the LPGA to have an ascendant season like hers.
Vu answered that she thinks a lot of rookie girls do. “I mean, I think everyone is just so talented,” the golfer remarked. Further talking about an incident from last week, Vu added, “Hole No. 3 of last week it was 175 into the wind, and we all hit it to like ten feet. I’m like, damn, we’re really good. Could the guys do this with a 5-iron? I think they play different yardages into par-3s, in my opinion.” The golfer concluded by saying that the “girls out here are amazing” and more people out there should watch them.
As the golfer now prepares for her next feat, here’s a look at her last week’s winning performance, just in case you missed it.
