The anticipation for the 150th anniversary of The Open Championship is running high among the world of golf. With much excitement, fans were given another stirring news that Bryson DeChambeau will partner with 2-time Major champion John Daly for the first two rounds.

The Open Championship is all set to take place at the Old Course at St. Andrews. The legendary golf course has motivated many legends to take part in the Major including John Daly.
The pairings for the first two rounds were revealed earlier today. To everyone’s joy, John Daly was grouped with Bryson DeChambeau.

Both DeChambeau and Daly have earned a reputation for their strong drive over the years. One could only imagine an entertaining couple of rounds from the pair.
One of these players is searching for his 2nd Claret Jug. The other, going for his 1st.

Though Daly is way past his prime, his name still carries the same weight as it did back in his prime days. As far as DeChambeau is concerned, he is widely regarded as the future of Golf.

The Scientist and Big John will hit the opening tee shot for the first round at 07:52 local time alongside fellow American Cameron Tringale. The trio will look to make the cut at the final Major of the year.
For John Daly, the Major will bring the golden memories of his second Major win. Back in 1995, Daly won his second career Major and first and only Open Championship at the same course.
It is safe to say that Daly must be familiar with the holes around the Old Course at St. Andrews. However, after completing his first practice, DeChambeau revealed it is his first time at the Scottish golf course.

Along with the pairing of Daly and DeChambeau, several other notable names have been paired with each other for the 150th Open Championship. Phil Mickelson is paired with Kurt Kitayama and Aussie golfer Lucas Herbert.
Cameron Smith, another Australian golfer who has come so close to winning a Major but just felt short, is paired with newly joined LIV Golf player Brooks Koepka. The defending champion Collin Morikawa and Rory McIlroy will join the 2022 Scottish Open Champion Xander Schaufelle.
The trio of Justin Thomas, Viktor Hovland and Shane Lowry will tee off before the pairing of Will Zalatoris, Hideki Matsuyama and Tony Finau. The Aussie duo of Adam Scott and Marc Leishman are paired with the 2-time Major Champion Dustin Johnson. The 2022 US Open Champion Matt Fitzpatrick is grouped with Max Homa and the 15-time Major champion Tiger Woods.
