When an event or tournament takes place, athletes get a chance to perform and sometimes also get an opportunity to reach out and support something meaningful. This October, as PGA TOUR Champions adds the new Constellation Furyk & Friends to its schedule, John Daly got his chance to promote a bigger cause. Daly, Phil Mickelson, and Steve Stricker are a few stars who are participating in the event.
While Daly could be performing better at the event, he has been active and around while supporting the tournament. With two rounds wrapped up, Daly has scored four-over 148. Though Daly’s Round 1 was better, a string of bogeys resulted in a T61 result.

As Constellation Furyk & Friends progressed, the PGA TOUR Champion’s Twitter page shared a few images of Daly wearing pink shoes. “JD showing his support during breast cancer awareness month,” they wrote, tagging the event separately. One image captured Daly’s outfit, while others focused on the shoes he was wearing.
Both shoes Daly wore were pink, with the breast cancer awareness logo on either side. The pink ribbon is the breast cancer awareness international logo. Anyone sporting one is promoting the same and extends their support to people with breast cancer.
Fans were deeply appreciative of Daly’s gesture, happy to see the shoes. “Well done John, an ongoing and great cause,” one fan wrote. Of course, some fans could not stop at appreciating the 55-year-old. While his shoes received a thumbs-up, people were amused with his pants – white with tropical-ish patterns on them. With his beard and vibrant appearance, he was even called the ‘summer Santa‘ by a few.
John Daly also attended a concert prior to the tournament
Before the tournament began, the Furyk Foundation conducted a concert headlined by Darius Rucker. The concert was to appreciate service men and women of the country. Additionally, it was presented by SRS Distribution with Scotty McCreery. Daly, along with other PGA TOUR Champions players, attended the concert.
