Michelle Wie West has always shown a lot of interest in supporting good causes and elevating various societies to harmonious living. When the Maui wildfires broke out, the golf pro showed her support not just through contributions but she also designed exquisite jewelry and inspired her fans to help the residents of Maui recover from the fateful incident.
With that cause still going strong, Wie has embarked upon a different agenda to help normalize ethnic lunches in the school systems in the United States. On her Instagram story, she shared an adorable video reel of a young girl named Avery who demonstrated how to make “Korean Kimbap,” which is rice wrapped in seaweed.
While Avery promoted the creation of the simple recipe using seaweed, packed rice, and a square of aluminum foil packed by her mother, the government of New York City shared the reel.
Impressed, the LPGA icon subsequently shared it on her Instagram with the caption, “I love love love this. Normalizing ethnic lunches in the classrooms. We come a longggg way folks.”

Wie’s efforts to bring together various communities took a big leap forward with her gesture. The agenda of making ethnic lunches a common occurrence in classrooms not only eliminates social differences but it brings together cultures from all around the world. Not to mention, the steps taken by the NYC government also helps in eradicating segregation from a young age.

The proceeds from the bracelet sales go to the different organizations that are working hard to help Maui get back to its natural beauty.
