The 2024 Presidents Cup is about to kick-start on Thursday. Last year, the U.S. Team won the 14th edition, defeating the International Team by a 17.5-12.5 margin at Quail Hollow Club. This year, once again, the American team is ready to continue its dominance in the event. All the players, including PGA Tour Pros Max Homa and Collin Morikawa, have reached the venue for the practice round sessions.

The duo met for the first time back in college and have been close friends ever since. So much so that their friendship has extended off the court as well. This has also made both their wives friends with each other. While they are all set preparing to bring home the trophy, looks like their better halves too, have been bonding online.

Collin Morikawa’s wife, Katherine Morikawa, has been preparing for the NYC Marathon that will take place next month. Additionally, she is also trying to match her steps with every dollar raised for the St. Jude Organisation fundraising. A few hours ago, she took to her official Instagram story and shared a picture of herself in the gym and wrote, “16 miles on the treadmill today.”

Just a few moments later, Lacey Homa shared a video of Katherine Morikawa on her private Instagram account. The story was a video of Mrs. Morikawa being seen running on the treadmill. Being proud of her achievement, Lacey Homa wrote, “This girl ran 16 miles on a treadmill before most of us got up! Go, girl!” This shows the exceptionally supportive and strong bond that the American WAGS share.

Katherine Morikawa has been actively putting in efforts to raise money to help support the kids at St. Jude, alongside of course her dream of completing the Marathon. She also has been a complete source of support for her husband in his golf tournaments, be it an event on the PGA Tour or being there for him at the Olympics. Well, the support extends mutually.

Two weeks ago, Katherine Morikawa took to her official Instagram and shared a post with her husband. In the first picture, the duo was spotted near the Vancouver city bridge on the road. While Morikawa was on his bike, in an entire sports attire, Katherine too was wearing her sports gear, but she was on foot. The second one was a video.

Collin Morikawa was biking as his wife continued running beside him. He was supportive of her practice for the marathon. In the caption, she wrote, “Smiles for miles with my ride or die (smiling emoji) New York Marathon here we come!” She also added about the St. Jude fundraiser and wrote, “Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.”
