We are only three months into 2023, and the golf world has already seen many changes. The rebranded LIV Golf League, new PGA Tour designated events, and the golf ball rollback rule by the USGA and R&A. However, to that list, a new name has been added by a golf analyst via Twitter. Will Zalatoris is being noticed for things never expected of him, and golf fans have reacted to it.

Willy Z is the new talk of the town; the golf world reacted

Amanda Rose has posted a video of the PGA Tour playing golf. She said, “Willy Z is such a talented player. ” But in contradiction, she added, “Whenever he does stuff like this, I do not understand. It’s a sort of confusion that can only come from seeing a deer drinking tequila, etc.

The topic of discussion has been Zalatoris’ putting. Despite his assertions that the putt wasn’t the issue, the footage reveals a different tale. At Torrey Pines this year, he made six consecutive bogeys in his first seven holes, which shot him down the ranks.

The golf world also took note of it and filled the comments section with funny and sarcastic comments. However, criticism for his golf game also followed. His weird putting has always been a concern among golf fans. He returned from an extended back issue and was still adjusting to life back on the top flight. He missed the cut by merely one stroke at the Torrey Pines South Course.

The comments section was filled with comments on his putt style, and they were not tasteful.

One fan said was extremely disappointed by his putt. It was hurtful for him to watch the pro golfer facing issues despite his problems being fixed a year ago. However, it was not all negative. Some fans had real concerns for him. Another fan said, “I can’t imagine being such an incredible player from tee-to-green and then appearing to have advanced Parkinson’s while putting.” He added, “Painful to watch. Hope he figures it out, seems like a genuinely good dude. If he can’t figure it out, he may, sadly, regret not taking that $130 mill.

The PGA Tour pro impresses Fred Couples

Many fans connected his bad putt to the LIV golf deal he declined recently. However, Fred Couples is impressed with the PGA Tour pro. According to Couples, Zalatoris turned down a number of offers from the new league, including one that increased by almost $100 million from a $35 million original offer to a $130 million follow-up. He recently talked to the Orange County Register and revealed the news, “Money is zero object [for LIV]. I give Will a lot of credit; he wants [to stay with] the PGA Tour.
