Dustin Johnson is trending again for unexpected reasons. Recently, he lost a huge endorsement deal with a longtime sponsor, Adidas, but that is not why people are talking about him. An update about his preference regarding the Netflix docuseries is making rounds online. Many fans and golfers have loved ‘Full Swing.’ The fans got the opportunity to know their favorite golfers closely. However, Johnson has different views about it, and the golf world has shared its point of view.
Is Dustin Johnson against the docuseries?
The LIV defector is not against the docuseries, but he sees no value in it. Or, that was what everyone thought after listening to his answer from the press conference ahead of season 2 of the LIV Golf Series. The editorial director at LIV Golf League, Mike McAllister, shared a screenshot of a conversation with the two-time major championship winner. He captioned it, “DJ has no interest in watching “Full Swing.”

The pro golfer honestly admitted he had not watched any of the episodes of the docuseries on Netflix. And not just that, he has no interest in watching it ever. However, the 2016 U.S. Open winner gave the reason behind his decision. He said, “I watched them film me, so I don’t need to watch the episode.” It all started when he was asked if he had the chance to watch the episode featuring him and his views.

Just a few weeks back, the 2020 Masters Tournament winner indicated his return to the PGA Tour. The fans were disappointed, and he received scrutiny on a different level. He has lost the deal with Adidas, as they signed him off the deal ahead of the first event of the LIV Golf league in Mayakoba. And now his viewpoint on the docuseries raises the question if the fans are going to accept it or scrutinize more.
Did the golf world agree with the LIV defector’s decision?
All the golf lovers commented on the update and shared their point of view. Where some of the fans pointed out that it was a classic Johnson move, others joined him on the list of golf enthusiasts who haven’t watched any episode of the docuseries yet. But overall, the fans were pumped and showed support. They did not judge him or question his choices, instead felt he was doing right.

However, some fans found Johnson’s words to be funny. The comment section showed overwhelming support for the former PGA Tour player. Also, there are big hopes this year too from his team after they won the season 2022. The team under his captaincy has raised the bar, and fans must be looking forward to it.
