One of the most obvious ways to play at Augusta National is to qualify for the Masters, one of the four major championships in professional golf. The Masters is held every year in April, and it attracts the best golfers in the world. To qualify for the Masters, you have to be a professional golfer or a top-ranked amateur golfer to meet certain criteria.

The next way to play at the Augusta National is to become a member of the club! However, this is not something you can apply for or buy. Membership is by invitation only; the club does not disclose its membership list or criteria. The club has about 300 members, who are mostly wealthy and influential people from various fields, such as business, politics, sports, and entertainment. Annika Sorenstam is one of the latest members of the prestigious ANGC.

Another way is to join the Augusta Country Club and hope that a member of Augusta National invites you to play with them. This is a rare and random occurrence, but it has happened before. Sometimes, when members of Augusta National need a fourth player to make up a fourball, they call Augusta Country Club and ask if one of their members is available to join them.

If not as a golfer, then as a looper

One other possible way is to work there as a caddie or volunteer at the Masters. People can get part-time jobs as caddies at ANGC from November to April and can get a chance to play one round per year as bagmen. The Augusta National relies on hundreds of volunteers who help with various tasks. However, becoming a volunteer at the Masters is almost as hard as becoming a member at Augusta National. The vacancies rarely occur, and there is a long waiting list for these jobs.
