Is Charlie Woods destined to live in Tiger's shadow, or can he carve his own legacy?

How do you see Charlie Woods as a golfer? The 15-year-old certainly performs well in high school golf. However, we also know about his struggle in a PGA Tour qualifying event and other tournaments. While it’s hard to decide, it appears that Tiger Woods‘s son has faced another setback, this time in high school golf. In terms of high school golf, Charlie carries a decent record as he competes on the South Florida PGA Junior Tour.

In the 2024 season, the teenager has played in five events so far. Starting with a T2 finish at the Medalist Tour back in March, he last played at the SFPGA Labor Day Classic finishing T20. Not only that, he also won the SFPGA Junior Cup carding 73-68-73 at the BallenIsles- East Course in July this year. Despite the achievements, Charlie Woods isn’t part of the tournaments currently held at the Benjamin School.

For the fall season, Charlie is unable to play at the Golf-Varsity-Boys and Golf-JV-Boys. Although the tournament started in August last year, they are still underway and will continue till November. It is certainly surprising that despite having a +3 handicap index with the Florida State Golf Association he isn’t part of the team.

It’s still not confirmed why Charlie Woods isn’t part of these teams at the Benjamin School. Woods also didn’t say anything about that. Last year, Woods Jr. had his best finish at the SFPGA Tour Championship as he finished T5. Compared to last year, this year is definitely better as he already has a win under his belt. However is it enough to heal the heartbreaks he had in this season so far?

He later talked about the motivation and saidI wanted to redeem myself, and I feel great about how I played. I wanted it so bad,” and actually did it.
