Not to wake the dead or anything, but Charlie Woods and his dad Tiger Woods did come agonizingly close to taking home the top prize of $1.08 million at the 2024 PNC Championship, only to narrowly miss out to Bernhard Langer and his son Jason in a thrilling play-off. Despite a sensational hole-in-one from Charlie on the 175-yard par-three fourth hole, which sent the crowd into a frenzy, the Woods duo ultimately fell just short of victory, leaving them to wonder what could have been.
Now the news has it that Charlie Woods is ready to make a comeback, and what better way to do it than at the 10th annual Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship which is scheduled to take place from February 28 to March 2 at TPC Myrtle Beach, per 15 News. This 54-hole tournament will feature a stellar lineup of 31 top 50 junior golfers, comprising 19 boys and 11 girls, and it’s expected to be a thrilling event with America’s best junior golfers vying for top honors.
Charlie will be one of the top attractions, given his famous lineage and his own growing reputation as a talented young golfer. Interestingly, this tournament has a history of launching the careers of future golf stars, with three past champions having already made a mark on various professional tours.
