The 10th Dustin Johnson World Golf Championship took place in Myrtle Beach on Friday. It brought together some of the world’s most talented junior golfers. Among the standout players were Tiger Woods’s son, Charlie Woods, and President Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump. Fans flocked to the event, eager to catch a glimpse of the rising stars, with Charlie Woods drawing plenty of attention as the crowd’s favorite. The event, which featured 90 boys and girls, certainly lived up to the hype and drew significant attention.

Dennis Schulz, a volunteer at the event, shared his excitement, saying, “I think the big draw today is probably Charlie Woods, Tiger’s son, but there’s also a lot of other great golfers. Boys and girls, future pros. They can hit the ball a mile, so it’s fun to see.” In the end, it was Aarav Shah from Australia who claimed the victory. After holding the lead for the first 36 holes, he shot a solid 73 to secure the win, marking his first junior circuit victory for some time.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t Charlie Woods’s day, as things didn’t quite go as planned for him during the competition. Despite a strong comeback in round two, Charlie Woods fell short of making the cut with scores of 82-77. Kai Trump also missed the cut, posting rounds of 84-77. But Tiger Woods, being his biggest supporter, did not give up on trying to cheer him up.

On Tuesday, Tiger Woods had the final match at the TGL’s inaugural season against Atlanta Drive GC. Charlie Woods was there to support him. In the middle of the match, the 49-year-old made sure he went near the seats and checked on his son.

As he spotted the 16 YO eating chicken fingers, he asked for some mid-round snack. “Chicken Fingers? Give me one. Just throw me one,” he said. And, well, Charlie Woods passed on chicken fingers to his father. Finger lickin’ good, eh Tiger?

While Tiger Woods did try his best to cheer him up after the match, he failed to impart one thing to his son. Patience, which he clearly lacked during the match. Tiger pounces on other players during tournaments, and patience remains a key strength.

But his son Charlie must pass levels to become a top-class golfer.

Tiger Woods’s son Charlie cut a frustrated figure!

Woods had observed that when Charlie let his resentment take over, it often led to mistakes throughout the rest of the round. “His temper starts to affect the next shot, then the next, and it just keeps building,” Woods had noticed.

To help his son stay focused, he offered some advice: “I don’t care how angry you get. You could lose your temper for all I care, but when it’s time for the next shot, you need to be 100 percent committed. That shot has to be the most important thing in your world. It should matter more than anything, even more than breathing.”

Charlie Woods seems to be facing similar early-career challenges that players like Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth experienced. A popular YouTube channel, ‘Parker Plays Golf,’ compiled a video showcasing every shot Woods took during the event, and there were moments where his frustration was evident.

For example, on the second shot of hole 16, Charlie appeared disappointed with his swing, showing visible signs of frustration. Then, on hole 18, after striking the ball, his golf club slipped from his hands and landed a few feet to his left.

These moments sparked conversations, especially since his father, Tiger Woods, is known for his intense focus and calm under pressure.

However, it’s important to remember that even Tiger himself has had his moments of dissatisfaction, like slamming clubs, swearing, and even spitting on greens. Do you think this might be a reason for Charlie Woods’s doom? Let us know in the comments section below!
