Charlie Woods Casually Destroys Dad Tiger With Smooth Trash Talk: ‘Kind of Shocked Me a Little’

Charlie Woods headlined the PNC Championship paired with his father. Even though the pair could not win the championship, they created many memories.

Charlie and Tiger Woods both played great in the last round of the tournament. Everyone was glad to see their favorite legendary golfer back in form. However, Charlie had fun with his father during the press conference.

Last year, the Woods duo finished second after John Daly and his son. However, they were able to card 11 birdies in a row at the last hole. They made a record, even though they could not win. Same this year, they could not win, but the Woods duo left the mark.

Tiger Woods had been suffering since his accident last year. Even though he was able to return to the golf course, he has lost the spark. His game has been weak, and we cannot blame him. However, his son took the opportunity and trash-talked the greatest golfer of all time.

During the press conference yesterday, the reporter asked him about his experience. He asked the Woods duo what they had learned about each other’s game.

Answering the question, Charlie said, “I feel like I already knew what he was capable of, and then yesterday, that’s the best he’s ever played in a while and that kind of shocked me a little bit. That’s really it.” Everyone, including Charlie, knew what the pro golfer was capable of. However, he has been off the track because of a series of injuries and pain. 

Jr. Woods was shocked at the performance of his father. He has been out of form for so long that his outstanding performance at the PNC Championship surprised Charlie.

He knows that his father is a five-time green jacket winner, which means he has what it takes to be a legend. And still, he has not played so well, which was a shock. It proves that even his kids have great expectations from the legendary golfer Woods.

How did Tiger Woods react to Charlie’s comment?

Charlie’s answer left Woods with a peal of laughter, and he said it was great to be back in his form after so long. Explaining his feelings, he said, “I used to be good. (Laughter) again, it was neat to be able to roll back the clock for him to see what I used to be capable of.” Woods re-lived the golden years of his career. 

He added that anyone who knew Woods’ ability was Jim ‘Bones’ Mackay, and it was not just Charlie having his fun. Even Bones enjoyed the PNC. “Bones got a big kick out of that yesterday,” said the former number-one golfer.
