Golf never gets tired of welcoming the fresher and newer talent on the course.  Among the most promising golfers in the sport’s future are surely John Daly II and Charlie Woods, the sons of two of the greatest golfers of all time.

John Daly II has inherited his father’s talent and flair and has impressed fans and pundits alike with his powerful swings and his confident attitude. On the other hand, Charlie Woods, the son of golf legend Tiger Woods, has impressed many people with his skills on the course. With the close competition and comparison between the two golf kids, it is unexpected but not impossible for them to praise each other.

In a recent chat on Bo Mattingly’s podcast, Hog Pod, John Daly II shared his thoughts on the young prodigy, Charlie Woods. Long John’s son expressed his genuine admiration for Junior Woods. Although he does not know Woods’s son personally, the 20-year-old golfer made affirmative remarks on Woods Jr.’s promising talent, finding it quite refreshing.

In his words, “I don’t really know. Him that well. But yeah, I know. It’s tough. Not easy. But I think if he if he does the right things, he can be great. Fits for his I mean, his golf swing is perfect for that young of an age.” John Daly’s son’s remarks about his compatriot show that he is indeed a kind person and is not afraid to admit that his competitor has the potential to be great. 

Junior Daly admitted that Charlie Woods’s swing is almost perfect for his age, and it is indeed commendable that he works hard in tough conditions and overcomes the not-easy parts of the sport.

John Daly II and Charlie Woods are both expected to play in the 2023 PNC Championship, where they will pair up with their fathers. John Daly’s and Woods’s rivalry in the PNC Championship goes way back. In the 2021 PNC Championship, the Daly duo clinched victory with a record-breaking score of 27 under par for 36 holes, surpassing Team Woods by a two-stroke margin.

The PNC Championship will take place from December 14 to December 17, and it will be a chance for John Daly II and Charliе Woods to showcase their skills and their potential, as they follow in the footsteps of their father.
