Ever since Tiger Woods withdrew from the Master’s Tournament this year, fans have been hunting for updates on his return to competitive golf. Almost akin to news about USO sightings, people have been discussing the possibility of every rumor about him playing a tournament again. Well, seeing the man play can be extremely rewarding, so this excitement surely makes sense.

With time passing by, the expectations have sort of leveled down lately. Fans have adjusted their expectations to at least spotting him in major tournaments and events, if not see him play again right away. Unlike the past few months, there are several real opportunities for that to happen.

Not sure how many of you remember the TGR Junior Invitational event that happened last year. It was the first edition of the event, where Tiger Woods organized a game for 30 boys and girls respectively to play at the iconic Pebble Beach Resorts.

For his part, Woods was present on the course and got his club talking, leaving the young fans spellbound. This year, the event is scheduled for its second edition. It will start on October 7th, Friday, and go on until Sunday. There is a likely possibility that Woods might appear in the event.

There is also the PNC Championship scheduled to begin on December 14th. Tiger Woods and his son, Charlie, have been eager participants in the tournaments for the past three years. It is highly likely that the duo will make an appearance once again. We might even get to see Tiger Woods play again in the tournament.

Besides these two possibilities, there is also one more immediate event that might witness Woods’ presence. Although not in the United States, this could happen in Rome. While the legend has not officially taken up a role in the Ryder Cup this year, he has been an integral part of it, as per Team USA captain Zach Johnson.

In his interview upon touching down in Rome, Johnson mentioned how Woods is often on calls with them. He assured fans that Woods is inseparable from the Ryder Cup and, if not physically present; he is with the team in other ways.

Above all else, an important question that fans are curious about is whether Woods will be in Rome for the Ryder Cup. His health might hold him back now, besides his directorial duties with the PGA Tour. But during the event, will he be there in person?

This could lead to some potential for him taking part in the event in a subtle way. There was one instance in the past year or two when Tiger played caddie for his son Charlie. He may not repeat that for someone else, but that’s not the point.

Woods’ presence could be a huge factor in the event, which could ignite the energy in the course. After all, the Ryder Cup is immensely close to his heart. Plus, he knows that seeing him rubbing shoulders with the squad could spike up the crowd’s exuberance big time. This is true for at least the American crowd.
