Gina Kim is one of the newest youngsters on the LPGA circuit. After turning pro earlier this year, she has competed in multiple LPGA events and flaunted her skill. She made her way to the Monday Qualifier of the event field even after having attended a friend’s wedding, taken a red-eye flight, and played just half a practice round. In her words, however, she just winged it out there“.

However, eventually making it to the ever-competitive major field was certainly a dream come true. She even acknowledged her gratitude towards the LPGA and said to the press at the event, “Just even having the chance to be here is already amazing to me. This is my first AIG Women’s Open experience.”

Kim had undoubtedly fought bravely to make the final major. Moreover, during the first two rounds, she even displayed a great set of skills. Sadly, it wasn’t enough to get her into the weekend, and she saw an early exit from the course!
