August 2023 is turning out to be an auspicious month for Golf GOAT Tiger Woods. After his long hiatus, while he recovered from the injuries to his ankle from the accident in 2021, the legend is back in a much more prominent capacity on the golfing circuit.

The 15-time Major winner started the month by accepting a generous position as Player Director in the PGA Tour’s policy board. He followed that by getting his wish to keep cuts at the Genesis Invitational, an event he hosts. Now, he has yet another thing to celebrate.

Nike’s endorsement of Tiger Woods was one of the most lucrative partnerships in sponsorship history. Mr. T and Nike launched several different types of merchandise that became wildly popular; more so as the golfer became a GOAT in his field.

One of the best creations was the TW13 golf shoes that were released nearly a decade ago. Now, with Woods returning to the PGA Tour, even if it isn’t to play the courses, the $161 billion giant decided to relaunch the shoes.

The elegant design and the calming color combination of white and blue are not only appealing to golf enthusiasts but everyone. The sole has Tiger Woods’s initials carved into them in his iconic style and so does the tongue. These shoes are expected to sell like hotcakes even when they are priced at $240 apiece.

This is yet another reason for the 3-time Open Championship winner to make headlines since the dawn of August. His time seems to be changing rapidly, what with lawsuits being settled and being back on the Tour to which he has remained loyal through thick and thin.

Not long ago, LPGA star Michelle Wie West shared her personalized shoes that became available before the US Women’s Open at Pebble Beach. Her shoes reflected her Hawaiian heritage and featured customizations that she holds dear to her heart.

There was another potential deal for Nike with Brooks Koepka‘s LIV Golf team that fell through due to unexplained reasons. Regardless, the brand has been associated with the top names in golf for a long time.

Sponsoring Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and many other fan-favorite prominent golfers has proven to be some of the best business decisions for the company since their partnership with Basketball GOAT Michael Jordan.
