The land down and under is currently the go-to place for every golf fan. After two back-to-back tournaments- the PGA Championship Australia and the ISPS HANDA Australian Open- the country is hosting the Cathedral Invitational. The Cathedral Lodge and Golf Club, which is a two-hour drive from Melbourne, will witness big names locking horns this weekend. Did you know Greg Norman designed the course?

The prize purse is AUD $3 million, and the winner will score a whopping AUD $1 million. Competing for this prize are Australian golfing giants Cameron Smith, Adam Scott, Gabi Ruffels, Grace Kim, and ALPG tour winner Sarah Jane Smith. Meanwhile, names like former Ryder Cup player Nicolas Colsaerts and the winner of the 2022 Australian All-Abilities Championship, Kipp Popert, will bring in an international flavor. Last year’s defending champion, Nick Flanagan, will also be stepping on the grounds, as per PGA Australia

What channels will be streaming the Invitational?

The Cathedral Invitational is a traditional 36-hole stroke play with no cut that officially starts on Wednesday, December 6th. The field will comprise 46 male and female golfers, both pros and amateurs. The rounds will begin at 10 a.m. and be finished by 5 p.m. for this two-day event.

Unfortunately for fans, this is not a live telecast. It will be later broadcast on Fox Sports, Kayo, and Channel 9 on the night of Christmas Eve. However, live scores and updates can be found at www.pga.org.au.

Different types of tickets are available for the Cathedral Invitational

This is the second edition of the event, and multiple types of tickets are available, all of which can be purchased in Australian dollars on the event’s website.

The basic adult ticket costs $60. There is another option, concession tickets, which cost $35 but require a special ID. The third option is a local offer ticket, which costs $30. This is a limited-capacity ticket and also requires a special ID. Children under the age of 16 are welcome at the event too, but they must be in a ticket-holding adult’s company.

At the venue, fans will also be allowed a special opportunity to visit the Cathedral Lodge & Golf Club and get a taste of its intricately Victorian surroundings. The spectators are also offered a rare inside-the-ropes experience and share the field with the top players. This is Tour’s last event in Australia, and boy, is it going to be a blast!
