JT said in the video, “I’m very excited to announce that I will be playing in the Nedbank Golf Challenge this year. Cannot wait to see y’all in Sun City.”

The pro golfer who just missed the cut at the FedEx Cup playoffs is ranking at 71 now on the FedEx points leaderboard and 14th on the Ryder Cup standings.

With his can-do attitude and winning smile, Thomas is looking forward to showcasing his skills on a renowned golf course on the DP World Tour’s circuit.

Of late, the 2-time PGA Championship winner hasn’t been on the top of his game. He missed the cut in several tournaments this season, along with missing the top 10 ranks in all but three; the Travelers Championship, the WM Phoenix Open, and the Hero World Challenge. Still, he has not given up hope, and he is seemingly excited about the event in Sun City.

Justin Thomas experienced several setbacks in the 2022-23 season

Apart from a fall from grace for the former world no. 1, he has been targetted in several controversies. His off-handed words spoken to US Open winner Wyndham Clark raised many eyebrows even though the 30-year-old golfer meant no offense to the maiden winner.

Despite his lack of wins this season, JT was in serious contention for Ryder Cup. However, a few harsh comments also emerged when his skills were compared to LIV Golfer Patrick Reed. While his fate in Italy is still to be decided, the 2017 FedEx Cup Champion is joyful about the prospect of playing at Sun City in 2023.
