This 11-time PGA Tour winner is well-known for his hard-working and positive nature. But, what you might not know is that he has a hilarious prankster side. Recently, the professional was seen being interviewed by Dan Rapaport for Skratch’s “On the Bag” series on YouTube. During this fun chat, the U.S. Open champion opened up about various things, from his professional life to his relationships with fellow golfers while teeing and chatting alongside Rapaport in the interview.
We are talking about none other than Justin Rose. Rosie is mostly well-known for his neck-to-neck showdown with the GOAT Tiger Woods at the 2018 FedEx Cup Championship. However, his persona is also something to know him for, as evident from this interview.
There were plenty of interesting anecdotes, including Rose revealing how Tiger Woods once did him a huge favor and sharing a rather amusing story about a heckler who shamelessly asked him for $100. But the highlight of the interview came when they encountered a giant alligator resting on the grass as they made their way to tee off for the fourth round and final round.

It was a hilarious moment when Rose in his interview with Dan started talking about his favorite coffee flavor, saying, “if I look like I’m about to poop my pants,” when suddenly he stopped mid-sentence, his attention caught by the alligator. “Dude, he is big,” Rapaport exclaimed, and Rose, equally amazed, nodded in agreement, saying, “that’s a big gator, dude.”
What happened next might just crack you up! As Rapaport was deep in discussion about the species of the alligator lounging nearby, Rose playfully jerked his body, startling Rapaport to his core, and was about to trip. He was so taken aback that he paused for a moment before responding, “did you realize how close I was to the edge?” And by ‘edge’, he meant the very edge of the home of a hundred more alligators, just waiting for a snack.
They both erupted in laughter, and Rapaport, still trying to recover from the scare, quipped, “no seriously, can you imagine if I went over?” In true prankster fashion, Rosiee seized the moment and said, “there’s one there,” just to tease him again. “I’m not looking,” Rapaport shot back, and started walking a bit quicker than his usual laid-back pace.
This whole exchange surely must have been one of the most memorable and hilarious moments for Dan Rapaport. The Skratch team even posted this gem on their Instagram feed, captioning it, “Diabolical move by @JustinPRose99. 😆 Catch an all-new On The Bag with the major champion over on our YouTube page at the link in bio now.”

Rapaport, still a bit traumatized from the experience, quickly responded to the post with some sarcasm, mentioning he’d be showing the clip to his grandchildren. “No chance he had any idea how close I was to going overboard here. A video I’ll show my grandkids!” After all the laughs, they eventually made it to the course and checked their score—it was an impressive 164. Rapaport remarked, “I think it was kind of a late all day.” Speaking of scores and numbers, Justin Rose has certainly put up some remarkable figures throughout his career.
