How much is LIV Golf paying Cameron Smith?
Cameron Smith was in rumors to join LIV Golf for a long time. The former PGA Tour player had been avoiding questions related to joining the Saudi-backed league in interviews. However, his existence in the LIV Tour was confirmed after they released the list of the six newly added players in the league.
According to golf writer, Daniel Rapaport, Cameron Smith is receiving $100 million for joining the LIV Golf league. Players like Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, and Dustin Johnson were among the early birds to join the league. While Mickelson joined the league for $200 million, Smith joined at just the half amount. But $100 million is still a huge deal for any player joining a new golf league.

LIV Golf refused to comment on Smith entering the league
Smith was the winner of the Open Championship this year and was rumored to join the LIV Golf league by several sources. However, when the question was put forward to verify the facts, a LIV Golf spokesperson said, “We don’t comment on speculation.” Smith is one of the highest-ranked players to join the league.
But no one knows if this is where the search for players stops from LIV Golf’s end. The PGA Tour is forced to change its ways and policies after looking at the heavy and never ending transition of players to the new league. And after all of this, the future of the PGA Tour remains uncertain.
