Every sort of crazy thing happens in the golf world, but this one has to take the cake! Well, we all know how some of the best golfers in the industry are known for their haircuts, mullets to be precise. By no means, we are not saying they’re not talented but their choice of haircuts overpowers their skills on the course. For instance, Jason Day, Bubba Watson, and Cameron Smith are probably some of the top golfers with mullets.
But you already know that so why are we telling you this? Well, the latest post on Instagram by Captain Smith’s team Ripper GC showcased something, let’s say, interesting.

Well, to answer that firstly you’ll have to understand what the post was about. So, Ripper GC took to Instagram to post a few pictures of some of the top golfers on LIV Golf. But here’s the interesting part all of the photos were photoshopped into the golfers having a mullet! But who were these golfers? Well, the post started with Bryson DeChambeau, and then there was Sergio Garcia, Brooks Koepka, and Joaquin Niemann. Now, one thing to note here is that none of these golfers are from Rippers GC, and just see what the caption read, “If they played for #RipperGC 🤣👀”.

The caption refers to the fact that one of the top golfers has mullets, but does that mean mullets are the key to playing good golf? Absolutely not! However, we can’t deny that some of the best golfers have mullets as their hairstyle, making this a hilarious coincidence if nothing else. However, here’s what Smith had to say in the post, “That’s a weird look”, and well we think many would agree with the statement. But again we all know how utterly possessive Smith is when it comes to his hairstyle so much so that he wouldn’t even get rid of it even if his girlfriend asked him to. And well it is only fair since the golfer has been rocking it for ages.

So, right after winning the 2016 Zurich Classic at TPC Louisiana, Smith had two things in his head the fever from the victory and a dilemma. What dilemma? Well, the 31-year-old Australian who had clinched the title alongside teammate Marc Leishman in a thrilling playoff against Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel was considering what he had said to his girlfriend before the game. To break it in short, the golfer had promised his girlfriend, who is now his wife, that he’d cut off his iconic mullet if he won again.
But after he became a champion, Smith started having second thoughts and for good reason, the mullet that he had grown out of since late 2015 had become an integral part of his image as it is now. So the golfer said, “I would have to apologize to my girlfriend, it’s not going away. I mean, it’s ”¦ I feel like it’s part of me now”, talking about his wife Shanel Naoum. And well, fans were surely relieved after they got to know that the golfer is keeping his signature hairstyle. Do you like Smith’s mullet? Let us know in the comment section below!
