The 20-player field is now all set for what promises to be an eventful weekend in Albany. Although many eyes will be on Tiger Woods at the Hero World Challenge, considering it is his return, he’s not the only player on the field to watch out for. Cameron Young, the 2022 Arnold Palmer Award winner and rookie of the year, is among the many favorites on the field this week.

Last year, Young finished solo third and was just 4 strokes away from grabbing the title. The question remains, however, this time around: as she gears up to make his second appearance at the event, will he be able to grab a win? Well, if his all-Titleist bag has a say in it, the answer will certainly be yes!

The Hero World Challenge is an unofficial event of the PGA Tour. Despite that, it promises a $1 million purse for the winner and even OWGR points. Hence, Young, now the world no. 18, will surely look forward to grabbing his first win of 2023 and entering 2024 with an even better OWGR standing. And to assist him in his triumph, he has his fully stocked golf bag.

Having partnered up with Titleist, Young is a purist and uses only their equipment. The world no. 18 stands 7th on the driving distance on the tour, ranking with a 315.7 average. To attain this score, he uses a Titleist TSR3 driver with a 10-degree loft. A driver that provides precision speed and distance is a perfect combo perfect for Young. The club retails for $599.

For his fairway wood, Young uses the $349.98 Titleist TS2 with a loft of 15 degrees and a Fujikura Ventus Black 80X shaft. According to the golf pro, he changed his fairway wood from 16.5 degrees to 15 degrees after he found a big yardage gap between his driver and wood. With a low spin, high speed, and better forgiveness, it is a great wood for a pro.

Young unveiled his newest sets of irons at the WWT Championship. Titleist made for him a custom set of 6, 7, 8, and 9 irons with the initials 631.CY engraved on them. Additionally, he also carried a T150 3-iron and a T100 4- and 5-iron. They retail for approximately $200. The T150 is arguably faster than the T100 and provides better control; the T100, on the other hand, is the No. 1 iron on the Tour and promises forgiveness and great average distance.

Young’s wedges, putter, and more

For wedges, Young is partial towards the Titleist Vokey Design Wedges SM9 (48°, 53°, 58°) and the WedgeWorks (62°). Despite having four wedges, the clubs have only two lengths, as the PGA Tour pro revealed in an interview with Golf Digest: “The 48 and 53 are the same, and the 58 and 62 are, too.” Each wedge retails for $149 on the Titleist website.

On the greens, like many other pros, Young trusts Scotty Cameron. The golf pro uses the T5 Putter for making his many stunning birdies and currently holds a 4.37 putting average, 4th on the Tour.
