The ball is flying right into the rough, the club is in the air, and Jon Rahm is doing his best soccer free-kick impression; this is what happened a few minutes ago. The sights at Augusta National are worth watching for every golf fan. Teeing off from Carolina Cherry, the Spaniard hit a wayward shot that was heading towards the right of the fairway. Even before it dropped, the patrons around Rahmbo had already seen him throw his club and try to break the grass in the tee zone. Still not relieved from his frustration, the 30-year-old picked up his club and tried to break it. That’s what Augusta National can do to you.

Golf Digest captured the perfect picture of the hilarious burst of frustration. They tweeted it only moments later with the caption, “Jon Rahm is not having fun at the moment. 😬.” The grin suggests that the firm owned by Warner Bros. also found Rahm’s reaction hilarious. Fortunately, they were not the only ones who were enjoying the party at the ninth hole at Augusta National.

Fans online also had a bit of a laugh looking at Jon Rahm throwing a tantrum. And they didn’t mince their words when responding to Golf Digest’s tweet. Let’s see what they had to say about the entire situation.

Netizens turn Jon Rahm into a laughing stock

Watching golfers throw a tantrum on the course is what every fan loves to watch. And when it’s someone like Jon Rahm, who has faced a lot of heat due to his switch to LIV Golf, then things heat up quickly. As soon as the post was shared by Golf Digest, one fan immediately commented, “Hes such a loser,” calling out Rahmbo for his improper conduct. Then again, the Legion XIII captain might be channeling his inner Scottie Scheffler as his temper tantrum can be compared to the one the world no. 1 threw at the 2025 WM Phoenix Open. Interestingly, Rahm had admitted wanting to compete with Scheffler more frequently. We guess he has found a way to do so in terms of anger issues.

NFL journalist Ben Violin also jumped into the conversation. He commented, “Wow, Jon Rahm. Not in a good place.” The 2x major winner hasn’t been in a good place all year long. Despite getting high-ranked finishes, Rahm has failed to get a single victory in 2025. With Ryder Cup qualification hanging in the balance, he better get his act together if he wants to represent Team Europe.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Jon Rahm's tantrum at Augusta a sign of passion or poor sportsmanship?

Another fan was astonished by Rahm’s attitude at Augusta National; maybe even disgusted. They commented, Yikes. Jon Rahm’s got issues. 😳 #TheMasters⛳️🏌️.” The biggest issue for Rahmbo right now seems to be keeping up with the field in the 2025 Masters Tournament. He is 4 over after playing 11 holes.

One of the fans also believes that this is a norm for the Spanish swinger. Their comment stated, Jon Rahm in shambles again at Augusta? Things you love to see.” Apparently, Rahm being dramatic is their favorite thing to watch during the Masters week. They might have been entertained by the same when the 30-year-old had a meltdown in LIV Golf back in August 2024.

Jon Rahm also received a bit of support from some of his loyal fans. Albeit aggressively, one of them mentioned “Jon Rahm needs to get his fucking act together. Pendejo.” They seem to want Rahmbo to control his temper and focus on winning another Green Jacket.
