Is Bubba Watson's ace a sign of resurgence or just a fleeting moment of brilliance?

Bubba Watson seems to have finally hurdled through the storm, and his days of sunshine are back. The RangeGoats GC Captain has had one of the most terrible seasons this year on LIV Golf. In all the twelve events that he participated in, he failed to make it to the top 10 in any of them. Additionally, after the LIV Individual Championship, he finished at 53 in the standings. This brought him down to the drop zone, which means he might be relegated from the 2025 season.

However, after the season came to an end, he shifted his entire focus to the Asian Tour and started playing once again. His luck might finally shine this weekend. Watson is currently teeing off at the BNI Indonesian Masters, and as the second round is in process, it looks like his game has started shifting directions. Or at least that is how it is looking at the moment.

In the Saturday round of the Asian Tour’s event in Jakarta, Bubba Watson made the entire crowd cheer for him by scoring an ace on the par-3 11th hole. He made the magical shot with his pitching wedges, and the ball went straight towards the green and dropped in for the cup after bouncing a few times into the 170-yard hole. He is currently in the third position, going completely bogey-free in the second round. If he continues this momentum, he might finally grab a win this season.

And if he does come out victorious, the American Skipper will be able to take home a whopping $360,000 home. But on top of that, the BNI Indonesia Masters is giving away a home to a family in need on every ace. And well, Watson scoring the hole-in-one has already ensured that a family would get a house because of him. So, it is anyway a win for him, trophy or not. Even the official X account of Flushing it Golf posted his video.

Well, it is just the last eighteen holes remaining for the 45-year-old that will decide his fate. Whether he will finally break the curse, and win a trophy this season, we are yet to witness.
