“I am going to play until they kick me out.” This was what Bubba Watson stated about being below the drop line after a terrible 2024 LIV Golf season. Some chances are that Watson will be relegated, but as per a few reports, that might not happen, solely for business reasons.
The 45-year-old mentioned if his teammates wanted him for the 2025 campaign, he would happily be a part of it, and if not, he would help them find a better-suited golfer to replace him as the RangeGoats GC Captain. While Watson has now shifted his focus to play on the Asian Tour and let fate decide for him, it looks like there is a new update for his team.

Range Goats has managed to bring on the first team agency of record in LIV Golf. Earlier, it had only been singular agents selling sponsorship for the breakaway league. They have taken upon Integrity 9 Sports and Entertainment as its exclusive sales partner. Justin Buck, who leads the property sales division at the org as VP and head of business development, will be taking charge of the partnership with the LIV Golf RangeGoats and the team’s GM, Randall Wells.
“We are so excited to officially announce our exclusive partnership with RangeGoats GC, a premier LIV Golf team! We can’t wait to help introduce global brands to the fun, dynamic, and vibrant RangeGoats brand,” the brand announced a few hours ago on its official Instagram account.
Integrity 9 does not have any commercial partners so far, but it has been part of on-site activations on several LIV Golf events. According to Sports Business Journal, the franchise has worked with the MLBPA, Richard Childress Racing, and many more events.
However, with such exciting news on board for the RangeGoats GC team, what is Bubba Watson’s status for the 2025 season? While earlier, all the captains like Martin Kaymer and Lee Westwood were exempt, despite being on the drop line, it looks like there have been a few changes in the rule for the league. But is there a way for him to make it back to the league?

Bubba Watson can get back on LIV Golf based on ‘business reasons’
On September 15, Bubba Watson became one of the five players who fell out of the LIV Golf drop zone after he finished with 53 in the season-long standings. He only had 3.66 points. His 42nd finish in Chicago did not help him get out of the danger zone. Earlier, the captains were exempt from the demotion, but according to the new rules stated in September, he will be relegated, despite his captaincy. However, there is still some hope for the RangeGoats GC Captain.
The 2X Masters Champion can get back to the 2025 season of the breakaway league if his team members consider him suitable for ‘business reasons’. At the Individual Championship, he also stated that it has been a tough year for him, but his teammates sure want him to be back on the team. “I know some discussions need to take place and there are some business considerations. We have one of the most popular teams. Am I part of that? I think I am, and I’m committed to playing better,” he said.
