LIV Golf has made offers that most golfers couldn’t refuse. CEO Greg Norman has been successful in luring some of the most talented players to play in the Saudi-backed series. Among the first few talents was Phil Mickelson who happily sacrificed his PGA Tour legacy for a few million dollars.

Dustin Johnson has been paid around $125 million on signing a deal with the LIV Golf Series. However, a few reports also state that the number is close to $150 million. While Phil Mickelson has made a spectacular deal of $200 million with Norman. And if we talk about Bubba Watson, the golfer has reportedly made a deal of around $50 million.

Mickelson defends LIV Golf despite human rights violations by Saudi Arabia

The face of the Saudi-backed tour, Phil Mickelson expressed that he does not support human rights violations during the first LIV Golf event. He stated that he very well knew about the “horrible record on human rights” of Saudi Arabia. But the fact that he is still among the initial players to join the league is mystifying. He added in support of his LIV Golf deal, “I earned my lifetime membership and I don’t want to give that up, I don’t believe I should have to,”.
