Over the past few weeks, BTS’ Kim Taehyung (also known as V) has made his interest in golf quite evident. The 26-year-old has shared multiple practice videos with fans, admitting that he is still a rookie. Currently in the USA for the Grammys and concerts, Taehyung made sure to get some practice in.
In a recent tweet, the Christmas Tree singer surprised fans by tagging PGA Tour star, Rory McIlroy. Fans seemed excited for Taehyung, who even changed the layout of BTS’ official Twitter account.

Taehyung’s tweet has only generated more excitement, as everyone wants to see the idol perform better. Additionally, Taehyung’s tweet comes days before The Masters, where McIlroy is up to complete his Grand Slam.
Why does Taehyung want to meet Rory McIlroy?
Considering Taehyung’s tweet, the South Korean star simply seems to be inviting McIlroy and probably asking him to teach a few things. Interestingly, he even referred to himself as a ‘golf genius’, hyping himself up. The video itself is a short clip of V hitting the shot.

Where did Taehyung play?
Though there is no confirmation, Taehyung apparently played at a place called Top Golf. The venue’s Charman Suite apparently costs $8000 for three hours. Comparing the images shared online with Taehyung’s clip, it looks like BTS’ second youngest booked that very place.

Furthermore, BTS’ Min Yoongi is also known to play golf. Not only have fans been rooting for Taehyung to get better, they even want him to play and have fun with another member.
