Bryson DeChambeau got off to a crisp season start at the LIV Golf International Series, but a fog delay in Round 1 set him back—now he’s ranked 8th in Round 2, dropping seven spots. Meanwhile, Joaquin Niemann is leading the charts as the Series charges on.
However, LIV Golf’s first opener is approaching fast, from Feb 06-08, 2025 at Riyadh Golf Club where Bryson DeChambeau is ready to tee off alongside tour professionals Paul Casey and Jon Rahm. With all the matches brewing, it’s only natural to wonder about “The Scientist’s” WITB. DeChambeau has gone beyond green fences to build some drivers. Last year, he approached LA Golf’s founder Reed Dickens expressing his enthusiasm to craft an ergonomic driver. “Bryson came to me about a year ago and said, ‘I figured something out, and I know I’m right about this. Do you want to build a driver?’” Dickens said. His bag has largely remained steady since last year after seeing its fair share of overhauls in the past. Although one piece of equipment remains constant, his SIK Pro C-Series Armlock/LA Golf Proto putter. Take a glimpse of this setup as he prepares for another tour.

Bryson DeChambeau’s drivers, fairways, and irons
According to Bunkered, DeChambeau is using the Krank Formula Fire, starting at $429, with its 6-degree loft, a raw, powerful driver built for long shots, definitely not a toy for amateurs. With an impressive loft that delivers serious distance, it’s the perfect tool for Bryson, who stormed his way to the final round of the PLDA World Championship in 2022. Ahead, Bryson DeChambeau’s 3 and 5-wood of choice, the Krank Formula Fire 3+, is a beast. Priced at $369, its 13-degree loft is set at 12 degrees, while an extra face spring effect, and deep cupped face increase rigidity for explosive ball speed. Check out his Formula Fire driver –

For irons, Bryson DeChambeau uses the Avoda Prototype, a 3D-printed set from 5-iron to PW, personalized by Tom Bailey. Starting at $1,230 a set, these clubs deliver excellent spin control and feature shafts at variable lengths for those long, precision approach shots. So what does the US Open champion carry into the green you might think?

Wedges, putters, and more in “The Scientist’s” bag
The LIV Golf pro is carrying the Ping Glide 4.0 wedges at 45-degree, 50-degree, 56-degree, and 60-degree lofts. Priced at $128.98, they have a compact blade design and a longer grip for added control. The higher lofted wedges (50 degrees and above) provide extra spin. Bryson could excel with these on tricky short-game shots.

His trusted SIK Pro C-Series Armlock/LA Golf prototype putter, at $399.99 features the Descending Loft Technology for consistent roll at any angle, perfect for his analytical approach to putting. Custom-built for each player, this putter’s grip is precisely aligned with the face, delivering solid stability on impact. Next, DeChambeau is using the Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash ball, priced between $42-$49. Engineered with High-Gradient Core Technology, this ball spins more in short games and less in long shots.
The tried-and-tested bag seems promising and Bryson DeChambeau is making the most out of it. We could soon be seeing the brand new, tailor-made LA Golf driver in his kit. Stay tuned to find out!
