As the 2024 LIV Golf season has ended, Bryson DeChambeau has already started preparing for a grand 2025 season. Be it in terms of his game or fashion. At least that’s what he believes. A few days ago, he was spotted wearing a Reebok T-shirt and a pair of Reebok shoes as he posed for the cover of Golf Digest promoting the Showdown.

Speculations were the 2023 Team Champions, Crusher GC has managed to secure a brand partnership with the $2.5 billion company. The official X account of Reebok also shared a promotional video, announcing the Break 50, focusing only on the feet of a golfer wearing their shoes. You see how they created the spark! The brand endorsement was finally revealed, as Bryson DeChambeau, and Reebok took to their social media channels to share their excitement.

The golfer is now at the Shadow Creek Golf Course and was spotted wearing Reebok’s long black puffer jacket, paired with a pair of beige pants, and white shoes. For the cap, he had his regular blue-colored cap with the NetJets logo. NUCLR Golf took to their official X account and shared the video.

While this should have been a rather exciting revelation, as it turns out, the golf world does not seem to be happy about what Bryson DeChambeau believes is his amped-up fashion for the coming season.

The golf world dismissed Bryson DeChambeau’s new fashion

The puffer jacket that Bryson DeChambeau adorned for the Showdown was a little too big for his size. It almost went till below his knees. While his video was being shot from afar, his beige pair of pants almost made it look like he was just wearing the jacket and the pair of shoes. This was the first thing that most of the fans noticed in the video and found it rather a mismatched choice of color pairings. Taking to this, one of them questioned the caption and said, In style”?!? That thing looks awful.. Another simply called it, “Provocative!”

What’s your perspective on:

Is Bryson DeChambeau's oversized jacket a fashion statement or a fashion disaster?

Have an interesting take?

Remember George Costanza’s jacket from Seinfeld?  The Gore-Tex jacket worn by George Costanza in Seinfeld became iconic due to its blend of absurdity and practicality, perfectly embodying the show’s humor. In one of the episodes, George buys a Gore-Tex jacket, which he believes is a symbol of his newfound sophistication and success. However, the humor comes from the fact that George, who is often portrayed as insecure and socially awkward, has the opposite reaction to the jacket than what he expected.

The jacket itself is a high-performance, weatherproof piece of clothing, but it quickly becomes a symbol of George’s failure to navigate social situations and his unrelenting desire to impress others. One of them pretty much made the same reference in the comments section for Bryson DeChambeau’s huge jacket with a GIF of Costanze wearing his Gore-Tex jacket, which said, “It’s Gortex,” maybe implying a similar situation here. While another simply commented, “Bryson is so cringe” for him even agreeing to go with the outfit.

The current weather at Shadow Creek Golf Course in North Las Vegas is clear with no precipitation and temperatures ranging from 5 to 14°C. This means there is a possibility that the jacket might come in to shield the LIV Golfer. While one of the fans chose not to make any comments on his fashion choice, they just highlighted the benefit of wearing the oversized jacket. They wrote, He looks warm!”
